Area School Districts
Eau Claire, Wisconsin residents are committed to providing the highest level of education for both the youth and adult populations. The ACT composite score in 2009 for students attending Eau Claire and Altoona schools were 22.9 and 23.3, respectively. The scores are consistently above the national average, which in 2010 was 21. There are approximately 830 certified staff members available to provide a successful learning environment. The Eau Claire area has the eighth largest school district in Wisconsin. Approximately 11,000 youth are enrolled in the Eau Claire Area School District. The district has two high schools, two charter school, three middle schools and 12 elementary schools.

The School District of Altoona is minutes away from Eau Claire and has an elementary, middle and high school that serves more than 1,400 students. The elementary school is for kindergarten through fourth grade students. Grades fifth through eighth attend the middle school while grades ninth through 12 are at the high school.

The School District of Fall Creek is located a quick ten miles east of Eau Claire. The district has an enrollment of 830 students, housed in one K-12 complex.

Another school district within Eau Claire County is the Augusta School District with an enrollment of approximately 650 students.

A variety of schools aimed at faith-focused education are available in Eau Claire. The Regis Catholic Schools proudly continues a strong tradition of academic and co-curricular excellence with a focus on leadership and service that has been an important part of the Eau Claire area for more than 100 years. Serving more than 1,000 students within our Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle and High School programs, the schools provide a safe and nurturing school community where motivated students flourish in preparation for college and life. Regis Catholic Schools Core Values of Faith, Responsibility, Teamwork, Excellence and Leadership – are the hallmarks and guiding principles of the schools. Students and families of all faiths who can identify with these values are welcomed.

Other parochial schools include: Bethel Christian School, Crestview Academy, Eau Claire Lutheran School, Immanuel Lutheran High School, Messiah Lutheran School and St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran School. The enrollment for these schools range from about 20 students to almost 150 students.

University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
UW-Eau Claire Campus The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire a liberal arts-based university of approximately 11,000 students with nearly 70,000 alumni and 1,200 faculty and staff, consistently is ranked among the highest quality public regional univerisities in the Midwest and among the most affordable nationwide. The university has many meaningful partnerships with schools, businesses and organizations throughout the region and state. It is one of the few master’s-level public regional institutions in the U.S. with a Rhodes scholar and numerous Fulbright scholars.

UW-Eau Claire students choose from approximately 80 undergraduate degree programs and 13 graduate programs. Experiential learning for all students — through internships, study abroad, multicultural immersion experiences and more — is a hallmark of a UW-Eau Claire education.

UW-Eau Claire was founded in 1916 and often is described as Wisconsin’s most beautiful campus. The university has 28 major buildings on 333 acres situated along the scenic Chippewa River.

Chippewa Valley Technical College
Recently named the 10th best community college in the nation, Chippewa Valley Technical College(CVTC) as delivered superior, progressive technical education which improves the lives of students, meets the workforce needs of the region, and strengthens the larger community. CVTC offers more than 50 full-time programs, all continually being evaluated to make sure the college is meeting the needs of local employers. CVTC also offers customized training to business and industry taught by professionals with practical job experience in their respective fields, ensuring students receive the highest quality instruction available.

CVTC has three campuses in Eau Claire. The college has Business Education and Health Education Centers at its Clairemont Campus and the Emergency Service Education Center and Transportation Center at its West Campus. The Manufacturing Education Center and the NanoRite Innovation Center are located at its Gateway Campus. CVTC also has campuses in Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, River Falls, and Neillsville. The college serves part or all of 11 counties.

Globe University
Globe University-Eau Claire, a sister school of Minnesota School of Buiness, is conveniently located off Interstate 94. The school offers career-focused training in business, health science, legal science, and information technology.
