Virtual Town Hall Event
Thursday, June 25
12:30-2:30 p.m. Central Time

The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce has joined with over 400 state and local Chambers in a national initiative with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to address inequality of opportunity, an extension of the work of its local Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. US Chamber President Suzanne Clark said her organization “believes that the moral case for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace is indisputable, and there’s overwhelming evidence that greater diversity benefits the American economy, businesses, communities and employees."

   Group Projects Needed!

The Chamber is requesting service projects for our adult Leadership Eau Claire program. Are you involved with a non-profit organization and have a project that you need help with? Submit a proposal!

What kind of projects?
Each year, we divide our LEC class into teams of 6-9 people to work on community service projects. We ask for project ideas that are more in-depth than simple volunteer tasks. In the past, groups have designed signage for Beaver Creek Reserve, planned large events like the Veterans event recently held at Carson Park and created volunteer manuals and databases.

What doesn't work?
NO fund raising projects of any kind will be accepted. This includes asking the group to plan an event that is intended as a fund raiser. Also, the projects may not be political.

Project proposals due by July 31, 2020
More information and a proposal form are available here.

If you have any questions, please contact Casey Schumacher (715-858-0614).
