Get ready for a dynamic conference packed with a sensational keynote, intriguing breakout sessions on a variety of marketing strategies and an informative panel discussion during our 11^th Annual Marketing & Social Media Conference. This conference will provide an intensive review of marketing and social media tools, tips and strategies that businesses can use to reach out to customers and grow their bottom line.

The conference will kick off with engaging keynote session by Erin Trowbridge of Four Peas Consulting. She will instruct attendees on the marketing strategies of Manipulation or Inspiration? Embracing More Responsible Marketing.

New this year, we will be joined by Nick Meyer, Joel Pearish and Mike Paulus of Volume One for a general session right after lunch. They will cover The Video Content Cocktail - Yes, you CAN mix your own! Concoct tasty marketing and social-media videos (for B2B or B2C operations) with top shelf tips, tools, and examples that help drive engagement and results. Whether you do it yourself or call in the experts, you’ll get a buzz from this fun and fast-paced session!

Community & Economic Development Award  
    

The ThinkEauClaire.com video and website, the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce's interactive talent attraction campaign, has been selected as a finalist for the Wisconsin Economic Development Association’s (WEDA) Talent Development award. The award is part of the statewide annual Community and Economic Development Awards (CEDA) program established by WEDA to recognize businesses, projects and organizations that are making significant contributions to Wisconsin’s economy.
    
Developed in partnership with Volume One, ThinkEauClaire.com offers an interactive video and web-based platform that local businesses can utilize to help attract employees to the Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley region. The program provides a persuasive tool for area employers to highlight the unique attributes of living and working in the region, including the cultural, economic and recreational qualities desirable to potential employees.

Also nominated for an award in the Economic Development Initiative category is Altoona's River Prairie development. The award winners will be announced at the annual CEDA banquet in Madison this Wednesday, September 11.

Flu season will be in full swing shortly! Be a partner in good health and promote the flu shot. By promoting the flu shot, you can help prevent illness from spreading among the workforce and reduce the time your employees spend away from the office while sick.

• Consider offering onsite flu vaccination (flu shot, nasal spray, or both) at your business locations(s)
• Encourage employees to seek flu vaccination in the community.
