The Chamber’s Business & Workforce Development Committee is once again coordinating the Age of Opportunity Job & Volunteer Fair, Wednesday, September 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Oakwood Mall. The event is organized in conjunction with the Chippewa Falls and Menomonie Chambers of Commerce and the Aging & Disability Resource Center.

This is an excellent opportunity for your organization to interact with experienced, dependable and motivated workers interested in part time, full time, seasonal or volunteer opportunities. It takes place during National Employ Older Workers Week.

Sponsorship includes your logo on all advance promotional materials, prominent exposure during the event, and an exhibit table. Sponsorship are $175 for Chamber members ($200 for non-members). Exhibit tables without a sponsorship are $65 for Chamber members ($90 for non-members).

The 2019 Western & Central Wisconsin Wage Survey is now available for purchase and results will be sent out this week to those who have ordered. 

In its 20th year, the survey results were compiled from submissions by nearly 160 companies in various industries, in an area encompassing the coverage area of the chambers of commerce in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Marshfield, Menomonie, Portage County, Rice Lake, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids. Also involved were local chapters of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in the Chippewa Valley, La Crosse, Wausau and Winona, MN. The survey is administered by the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.

As the Chippewa Valley's population and economy have grown, the inventory of available housing at nearly every level has not kept pace. During the past year, the Chippewa Valley Housing Task Force has been looking at the issue from all angles and developing recommendations. This edition of Eggs & Issues will feature a panel of those who have been involved, discussing what they've learned, and  potential policy changes to address supply and affordability.

Get The Word Out With Member to Member Email Advertising

Have an event you'd like to promote, office space for lease or an upcoming seminar open for registration?  The Member to Member email is a great way to get the word out to more than 3,400 Chamber member individuals every Friday morning.  

The cost is $70 to run an ad in the Member to Member email.  Your ad must be in a JPG format that is sized 540X485.  The business or organization that reserves the ad must be a Chamber member and be the entity that is responsible for payment.  That entity's name or logo must appear somewhere in the ad.
