HR Conference

2020 Human Resource

Conference Registration

Now Open

Tuesday, April 7, 2020
The Florian Gardens Conference Center

2340 Lorch Ave., Eau Claire, WI
Cost to Attend: $89 for Chamber/CVSHRM Members, $119 for Non-Members, $49 for Students

The Chamber and the Chippewa Valley Society for Human Resource Management (CVSHRM) will present its eighth annual Human Resource Conference specifically geared for human resource professionals, small business owners and managers. The conference will provide a variety of sessions to keep the HR professional or business owner in the know about key issues affecting the workforce. SHRM credit approval is pending.

Welcome and Opening Keynote – 8 – 9 a.m.

The conference will begin with a keynote presentation from Stacey Whaley, Owner of Fire Up & Lead.  There are three core steps that impactful leaders follow to achieve results; crafting a Vision, building Alignment around that vision, and bringing it all to life by championing Execution.  Sounds simple enough, right?  Well, whether you are a leader of people or you are a leader of projects you’ve likely experienced real-world situations where reaching a goal was certainly anything but simple! Even hard working, well intentioned teams can get off track and struggle to build momentum, causing conflict decreasing engagement. This presentation will help you understand the three tangible steps of leadership, the primary drivers behind each step, and the leadership best practices that will transform and ignite your workplace culture. Be ready to explore your unique leadership style and how to stretch and connect your natural style to the real world demands of your organization.  Walk away with an actionable path toward more effective leadership!

After the keynote session, attendees will have the opportunity to attend the following breakout sessions:

  • Is Mary Jane Joining Your Workplace by Sara Ackermann of Ruder Ware, L.L.S.C.

Welcome and Opening Keynote – 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. - It's An Exciting Time to Be In Business by Michael Pynch and Jeff Olejnik of Wipfli

It is an exciting time to be in business. Companies can leverage technology to innovate, improve time-to-market, expand the customer base, and deliver better service. Companies need to have a balance that allows them to take advantage of all the benefits that technology offers, while being able to do so in a secure way.
