Vote Today!
Important Local Elections

Several important local city council and school board positions will be on the ballot when voters go to the polls today.

This is especially critical if you live in the City of Eau Claire, where highly competitive races for City Council President and five At-Large City Council seats will have a significant impact on the direction of city policies.

Statewide, voters will also elect a Supreme Court Justice.

If you need some help to learn about the candidates, go to our online Election Guide for links to questionnaires, recorded candidate forums and other information.

Election Day: Polls will be open today, Tuesday, April 2, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find your polling place, go to myvote.wi.gov

Programs & Services
SOHO - Small Business Survival Academy
Tuesday, April 9
Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce - PESI Conference Room
12:00 - 1:00 p.m

Please join us for lunch on Tuesday, April 9th at the first ever Small Business Survival Academy!  This new series from the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce was created for both members and non-members to create educational and networking opportunities for small business owners and their employees.

Small business owners and employees often wear many hats, and not always well.  Sometimes you just need someone to pitch an idea to and get constructive feedback.  Getting advice from your Aunt Gertrude might not be as helpful as connecting with another small business person.

Whether you need someone to offer guidance or help keep you accountable, at this luncheon you will learn more about the Planning Peer Partner Program (or P3 Program as we like to call it) and have an opportunity to connect with your business peers.

Make plans to have lunch with us and learn more about this valuable opportunity to connect!  The cost to attend is $10 for chamber members and $20 for non-members – lunch provided. Bring a non-member and be entered into a drawing for free admission to Business After Hours!

2019 Western & Central Wisconsin Wage Survey - Our 20th Year! – Collection is Now Open!

The survey is distributed the week of March 18, due back by May 31 and is published in mid-July.  We are proud to be covering employers from nine chambers of commerce in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Marshfield, Menomonie, Portage County, Rice Lake, Wausau, and Wisconsin Rapids.  Also included are the local chapters of Society of Human Resource Management in the Chippewa Valley, La Crosse, Wausau & Winona, MN.

We need area employers to contribute their data in order to keep the wage survey viable and relevant; data is kept confidential. We have made it easy to participate, so please review the instructions and complete the forms. All documents for survey participation can be found on the Eau Claire Area Chamber’s website.

There is a minimal cost to receive the report when it is available in mid-July, and Chamber or CVSHRM membership qualifies businesses for discounted pricing.

If you have any questions, please contact Danielle Kummer at (715) 858-0618.
