2019 Breakfast in the Valley Recap

The 23rd Annual Breakfast in the Valley was a big success thanks to more than 80 sponsors and over 400 volunteers. This year, we served over 3,000 (exact number still being tabulated) people from 5 to 10 a.m.! This event would not be possible without the Chamber members who volunteered to serve the breakfast and the Breakfast in the Valley committee that worked over the course of the year to plan the event.

A special thanks to the early risers who helped get the breakfast running whether it was making coffee, firing up the skillets, directing traffic or serving guests. We appreciate those that brought a whole team from their company as well - we hope it was a good team building event! Thanks to everyone for making the breakfast a great success. Save the date for the 23rd Annual Breakfast in the Valley on June 12, 2020.

Business Hosts Wanted: Middle School Career Tours

One of the ways to encourage young people growing up in the Chippewa Valley to stay here and begin their careers is to give them an opportunity to see those jobs in action right here in the area.

The Chamber has upcoming opportunities for employers to host groups of up to 20 Middle School students at a time for brief tour experiences. This complements the Academic and Career Planning curricula being taught in local schools, and provides a chance for local employers to give them a taste of the kinds of jobs available right here. The next set of tours are being planned for the afternoon of November 21 for students from South Middle School in Eau Claire.

If you’re an employer and would like to learn more about hosting one of these tour experiences, contact Danielle Kummer at the Chamber: kummer@eauclairechamber.org
