Due to the overwhelming support of our sponsors, exhibitors and attendees, we had a very successful Business at the Gardens event last year with over 450 attendees and 60+ exhibitors.

We are excited to announce that we are moving forward with this year’s Business at the Gardens event and it will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at The Florian Gardens Conference Center.

New this year, an outdoor Marketplace exhibit area that will be located in the back of the Florian Gardens Conference Center. We are limiting these exhibit spaces to a maximum of 7 and a 10'x10' tent will be provided upon request.  ***Please note: In case of inclement weather, we have established a contingency date of Monday, September 28.

When registering as an exhibitor for this event, you will be able to choose your exhibit location and number with a dropdown feature that will show what exhibit spaces are currently open (click here for an exhibit map).  Please note, some exhibits are currently unavailable, as they have been pre-selected by our partnership package level investors.  If you would like more information as to how you can become a partnership package level investor, feel free to contact Phil Swiler at swiler@eauclairechamber.org

Once your registration is complete, your confirmation email will include a link to a contract that will contain the guidelines, expectations and exhibit policies.  An invoice will be generated upon completion of your contract.  We will need the contract to be filled out in its entirety.

The most up-to-date COVID-19 safety guidelines as set forth by Eau Claire City-County Health Department, however, should there be any changes in our ability to hold this event, we will contact exhibitors immediately.

Tell the Minneapolis Fed- COVID's Impact on Your Business

Due to the deep stress related to COVID-19, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is tracking the ongoing effects on businesses across the Ninth District, a region that includes Minnesota, the Dakotas, Montana, parts of Wisconsin, and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We are partnering with state and local chambers of commerce, economic development associations and other business groups in each state to collect your feedback.

Please take this 5-minute survey to help the Minneapolis Fed and President Neel Kashkari better understand effects on individual firms as well as local, regional, and state economies more broadly which, in turn, will help the Federal Reserve System shape monetary policy to help businesses weather this economic shock. If you get this survey from multiple sources, please respond to the survey only once.

All responses are anonymous. We expect to share respondent comments with survey partners, and potentially the public, to better spotlight challenges facing all businesses. To maintain anonymity, please do not include any self-identifying information in any comments. We will also share findings with partnering organizations (that sent you this survey), and will publish a summary article on the Bank website (see article on May survey here).

The Minneapolis Fed greatly appreciates your time and valuable insights, and we wish you and your business good health and resilience going forward.

We Ask That You Wear a Mask

Chamber President & CEO, Dave Minor, along with past and present Chamber board members as well as several local business owners and leaders, recently filmed a public service announcement regarding the wearing of masks in local businesses.  To view the video, click on the links below:

YouTube:https://youtu.be/KRiFW2TNd4A
Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/eauclairechamber/videos/2387613408197874/?v=2387613408197874

In a recent announcement to Chamber investor members, Minor stated “It is our job at the Eau Claire Area Chamber to do all that we can to help businesses prosper and keep the economic environment healthy in our community.  As we all work to restore business activity in light of the COVID-19 health and economic crisis, the recent increase in cases threatens to short-circuit the recovery and send us backwards.

That’s why the Chamber is asking all businesses – as well as all community members – to follow the guidelines from the CDC, WEDC and local health officials regarding social distancing and the use of masks to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.  Doing so now can keep us all safer and can prevent the need for more stringent limitations on business activities in the future.”

Annual Marketing & Social Media Conference - Proposal Deadline Approaching!

Wednesday, September 30
9:00 AM - 3:15 PM

Presenters Needed! - Proposal Deadline is Friday, July 31 by end of business day.

The Chamber is seeking proposals from individuals willing to volunteer to present a 45 minute session for our Annual Marketing & Social Media Conference. Do you have experience that you would be willing to share? We are looking for topics for our Marketing & Social Media professionals on a variety of subjects for small, medium and large size businesses.

An exciting change for this year's conference... it will be all virtual! As a result we are asking for video submissions as part of the RFP process, please plan for this addition.

Benefits of Speaking
While this is a volunteer opportunity, speakers receive recognition in all marketing materials. All speakers are invited to attend the entire event as our guest. And best yet, you are able to promote you and your business to hundreds of Chamber members.

Access the Request for Proposal Submission Form here.

YLEC

   Group Projects Needed!

The Chamber is requesting service projects for our adult Leadership Eau Claire program. Are you involved with a non-profit organization and have a project that you need help with? Submit a proposal!

What kind of projects?
Each year, we divide our LEC class into teams of 6-9 people to work on community service projects. We ask for project ideas that are more in-depth than simple volunteer tasks. In the past, groups have designed signage for Beaver Creek Reserve, planned large events like the Veterans event recently held at Carson Park and created volunteer manuals and databases.

What doesn't work?
NO fund raising projects of any kind will be accepted. This includes asking the group to plan an event that is intended as a fund raiser. Also, the projects may not be political.

Project proposals due by July 31, 2020
More information and a proposal form are available here.

If you have any questions, please contact Casey Schumacher (715-858-0614).
