Chippewa Valley Rally Postponed - New Date to be Announced

The over 100 business and community leaders from the Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire and Menomonie areas that were scheduled to travel to Madison this week for the Chippewa Valley Rally will now wait a little bit longer to make the trip.

With temperatures at Wednesday's departure time forecasted to be 25 to 30 degrees below zero and even greater wind chills, plus a predicted high temperature that day in Madison of -13, organizers have decided to postpone the 2019 event to a later date.

Key issues for the 2019 Rally will include: Providing vigorous state leadership on workforce challenges, investing in critical infrastructure, and leveraging the economic impact of public education. One of the top priorities is the proposed new science building at UW-Eau Claire needed to replace aging Phillips Hall.

The event is organized by the Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire and Menomonie Chambers of Commerce.
