Farwell Street, Suite 101 Eau Claire, WI (715) 858-0616 Two Chamber Member Businesses Recognized for Chamber Workplace Wellness Award EAU CLAIRE, WI - Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire and law firm Weld Riley are the latest member businesses to earn a Workplace Wellness Award from the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce. Both organizations were recognized for their efforts to enhance the wellness of their employees by implementing a workplace wellness program that meets eight best practice criteria established by the Chamber’s Health & Wellness Committee. In both cases, they have previously qualify for the top Gold Level Award, and this recognition acknowledges their continuing qualification for that level. Kate Banchy of Spectrum Insurance, the Chamber’s Health & Wellness Committee Chair, and Dave Minor, Chamber President & CEO, presented the awards to company leadership and their wellness committees. There are currently more than 20 Chamber member organizations who have now received a Workplace Wellness Award. The goal of the Chamber’s Workplace Wellness Program is to promote the benefits of having a healthy workforce, including reduced healthcare costs, greater workforce productivity, decreased absenteeism, reduced stress levels, improved employee health, and enhanced morale. The program is free for members, with costs supported by its sponsors: Achieve Wellness, Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire, HSHS Sacred Heart & St. Joseph's hospitals, Marshfield Clinic, Mayo Clinic Health System, Prevea LeadWell, and Optimum Therapies.
