Davies Center, University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Small Business of the Year Sponsored by: Charter Bank and Wipfli Given based on the following criteria: staying power, growth in number of employees, increase in sales and/or unit volume, financial success, entrepreneurship, innovativeness of product or service, offered response to adversity, community involvement, and innovative efforts shown in area of local or national interest. 1-25 Employees Volume One Volume One magazine is the fast-growing culture and entertainment publication of the Chippewa Valley. The business began 15 years ago just recently printed its 300th edition. The business now has 23 employees. 26-150 Employees Royal Construction Royal Construction Inc. is a commercial construction and industrial design firm comprised of experienced, innovative and talented professionals. The company began nearly 50 years ago. Operating for more than 25 years, Country Jam is an attraction for tens of thousands of people every summer and has a major economic impact to the county. Ambassador of the Year Sponsored by: Rhom Construction Mary Glassbrenner, Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire Mary Glassbrenner was an active Ambassador participating in all activities, including numerous ribbon cuttings, and always doing the extra things to make the organization a success. Public Employee of the Year Sponsored by: B-Framed Galleries Michael Golat, City of Altoona This award was given to Michael Golat for his involvement in significant development projects. He has worked diligently with developers and elected officials to make it all happen in the City of Altoona. Outstanding Chamber Volunteer of the Year Sponsored by: Royal Credit Union Kate Banchy, Spectrum Insurance Group Kate Banchy is a very dedicated volunteer and has a passion for the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce. She has been an Ambassador for many years and chairs the Health & Wellness Committee. Outstanding Young Professional of the Year Sponsored by: Banbury Place Michelle Harris, Charter Bank This award was given to Michelle Harris for demonstrating the core values of YPCV; integrity, diversity, professionalism, and entrepreneurial spirit. She has been an active member of the Young Professionals Committee serving as chair in 2014-2015. Top Membership Salesperson Mary Glassbrenner, Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire Mary Glassbrenner was the recipient of this award for helping the Chamber in maintaining its membership at 1,218.
