Event Description:
Though trained as a painter, the term “maker” is now a more apt description of Cameron Anderson’s vocation. As a maker, the nature of his chosen materials—the grain of wood and steel, the translucence of amber shellac, and the fan of paint sprayed from a can—intrigues him. Anderson completed his B.F.A. at UW–Eau Claire, his M.F.A. in painting and drawing at Cranbrook Academy of Art, and continued graduate study in art history and art criticism at UW–Madison. He is currently the Executive Director of CIVA (Christians in the Visual Arts), an organization serving more than 1,000 arts professionals in North America and beyond. He is the publisher of and regular contributor to the organization’s SEEN Journal. Just recently InterVarsity Academic published his book, “The Faithful Artist.” Exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours.
