Event Description:
The Third Annual Yellowstone Art Trail is a free self guided art tour consisting of 33 local artists at 15 locations displaying and selling artwork in their studios and participating businesses. This year it includes Cadott, Boyd and eastern Lake Wissota and is set for Friday and Saturday, September 9th & 10th, 2016 from 9-5 both days. For those traveling from the west, the Lake Wissota County Highway X bridge is under construction, so details on the detour are available on our map, which you can also view on our website. The Yellowstone Art Trail features artwork for all ages, men and women alike. It showcases the fine art and skills of wood craftsmen, metal sculptors, stain glass artists, plus handmade pottery, wool and fiber art from local farms, fine art drawings and paintings, handmade jewelry and much more. The artwork is original and handmade and many of the artists give demonstrations, educating the public on their craft. Included in the art tour are historical places of interest and specialty shops featuring locally made products. The historical ZCBJ Bohemian Lodge is on the art trail and hosts several guest artists (as do Roth’s Sugar Bush, Anson Methodist Church and Cabin Ridge). Tourists that come to the Yellowstone Art Trail can get tours of the building while enjoying homemade kolaches and take in the history of this area. The Cadott Area Historical Museum also gives tours of the buildings on Saturday during the art trail. Brochures with maps are available identifying the artists and their craft. You can pick one up at area businesses, from the artists or view it on our website: www.yellowstonearttrail.blogspot.com. Each artist will be giving away one of their creations, so make sure to enter your name in a drawing at each location. Just grab a few friends, hop in your car and follow the big yellow sunflowers dotting the trail! We welcome you to experience the arts in our area.
