Join us for our next session of our Leadership Success Series featuring Dick and Rick Lommen of Courtesy Corporation - McDonald's. Dick is the founder and owner-operator of Courtesy Corporation-McDonald's. He began his career with McDonald's as a 15-year-old crew member. By the time he graduated from UW-La Crosse, Dick was managing the McDonald's of La Crosse on Losey Boulevard. Dick was provided with the opportunity to purchase the single-store franchise and became a McDonald's owner-operator in 1968. Today, Courtesy Corporation owns and operates 57 restaurants in the Midwest.

Dick's contributions and impact on the McDonald's system continue today. Dick is a member of the McDonald's Food Improvement Team whose goal is to build the McDonald's brand by improving existing menu items and the innovation of the production process. Additionally, Dick was a vice chair of the National Supply Leadership Council (NSLC). The NSLC is a leadership team that facilitates communication between the regions and U.S. supply chain. He is a past member of the Supplier Advisory Council (SAC) whose primary role is to create a competitive advantage for the McDonald's system and establish strategic objectives.

The Role of the Built Environment in the Health of the Community
Presented by Eau Claire Healthy Communities

The Chamber's Health & Wellness Committee is co-sponsor of this event, which focuses on trends and best practices related to the role of the Built Environment in the health of the community. Keynote speaker is Tom Fisher, director of the University of Minnesota's Metropolitan Design Center. Attend workshops on active transportation, food systems, parks as a health prescription, and making every day healthy choices. Optional tours of the Cannery District and the Hillcrest Greens Neighborhood are also being offered.

Registration is free, but space is limited.
