UW-Eau Claire New Student Welcome Packets

Participate in our UW-Eau Claire Welcome Packets! About 2,300 freshmen and transfer students will enter UW-Eau Claire this fall and move into the dorms. Let these students know that you are here - be part of the UWEC Welcome Packets!

The Chamber will present welcome packets to all new freshmen and transfer students living in UW-Eau Claire dorms. For just $135, you have the opportunity to insert 2,300 brochures, coupons or other promotional items in the gift bag. Or, volunteer to help stuff bags for two hours and get a reduced fee of just $85. Reservation deadline is July 17. For more details, click here or contact Becky Seelen (715-858-0615).

Business Community Downtown Wellness Walk

Join us on Wednesday, July 22, for our annual Business Community Downtown Wellness Walk. Enjoy a scenic route with colleagues and other Chamber members while you take in some of the downtown sights like Sculpture Tour Eau Claire, Phoenix Park and the trail along the Eau Claire River. (Rain date is Wednesday, July 29.)

There's no charge to participate and you can walk at your own pace. Walkers will have the choice of three routes of varying lengths. A route map will be available to download soon, or you can pick up a map on the day of the event. Come on your own, or get a group together!

If you're part of a Chamber-member organization and register in advance (by the day before, Tuesday, July 21), you'll be eligible for door prizes and help us anticipate the number of participants.

Join us on July 22 for some light physical activity and to see what's been happening in downtown Eau Claire!

Chamber Sponsors Trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in 2016

The Eau Claire Chamber is partnering with Central Holidays for a trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on April 1-9, 2016. Tour Features include:

  • Round trip transportation from Eau Claire to Minneapolis
  • Round trip air transportation from Minneapolis
  • 11 meals consisting of six buffet breakfasts, two lunches and three dinners
  • Sightseeing tours of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and desert safari

If reserved before August 30, 2015, the price is $3,799 per person, double occupancy; For single occupancy, add $599. Registrations are on a first come basis until the trip is filled.

The Board would like to hear what your thoughts are about where they are headed, what their priorities should be, and what your hopes are for the future of our children and our schools. The purpose of the Forum is to engage representatives from the parent, business and community sectors in conversations about Eau Claire Area School District's strategic priorities for the future.
