Get ready for a dynamic conference packed with a sensational keynote, intriguing breakout sessions on a variety of marketing strategies and an informative panel discussion during our Eighth Annual Marketing & Social Media Conference. This conference will provide an intensive review of marketing and social media tools, tips and strategies that businesses can use to reach out to customers and grow their bottom line.
The Conference will kick off with an engaging keynote from Gerald Bauer of JB Systems and Maggie Cook of Gordy's Market explaining the mystery of how you can improve engagements up to 100 percent and still lose your audience.

Non-Profit Recognition Breakfast: November 1
In recognition of non-profit month in November, the Chamber staff will host a breakfast meeting on November 1 for the executives of all Chamber member non-profits. We wish to thank them for everything their organizations do for the community and also for their Chamber membership. There will be discussion on concerns for their organization as well as plans for the future.
$300 Sponsorship includes:
- Logo recognition on promotional materials
- Opportunity to give a welcome at the event
Entrepreneurs' Day Event: November 15
Help us ignite the entrepreneur spirit in Eau Claire! The Eau Claire Chamber and twelve other area organizations will recognize National Entrepreneurs' Day on November 15 by holding an event at The Florian Gardens Conference Center. The half-day event will feature a keynote speaker along with several breakout sessions for entrepreneurs to help start and grow their business.
Participating organizations will have displays and staff available to answer questions on how they can help. We anticipate the attendance to be 150 people.

Affordable Care Act Update: What Employers Need To Know Now

With insurance renewal dates approaching, this is our annual update for employers on the ACA's requirements, including coverage mandates, reporting requirements, penalties, insurance alternatives, and more. This year's update also includes a special segment on Federal Nondiscrimination Law, including gender issues, notice requirements and other issues related to health programs and activities.
Key topics this year will include an overview of the impact of ACA for employers, shifting IRS regulations on Cash In Lieu, retiree HRAs, retaliation penalties, when and how to respond to exchange notifications, exchange market trends, employee classification (full time vs part time), documentation of coverage, mis-match notices, and reporting and disclosure requirements anticipated for 2016 forms 1094 and 1095.
