Friday, May 20, 7 - 8:30 a.m.
Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce
PESI Conference Room
$20 per person for Chamber members

As the state's eight largest school district, Eau Claire faces a variety of financial challenges including statutory revenue caps; an outdated state school funding formula; the need to retain highly-qualified staff; and funding facility maintenance, safety and technology needs, all while fulfilling its primary purpose to educate students for today's workforce. With a projected deficit of nearly $4 million, the school board must decide this summer whether to take a referendum to the district's voters this fall. At this edition of Eggs & Issues, you'll get an update on the district's financial picture from Superintendent Mary Ann Hardebeck and members of the Board of Education, and have the opportunity to ask questions about the district's financial options and potential referendum asks.
