2018 Breakfast in the Valley Recap
The 22nd Annual Breakfast in the Valley was a big success thanks to more than 80 sponsors and over 300 volunteers. This year, we served 3,100 people from 5 to 10 a.m.! This event would not be possible without the Chamber members who volunteered to serve the breakfast and the Breakfast in the Valley committee that worked over the course of the year to plan the event.
A special thanks to the early risers who helped get the breakfast running whether it was making coffee, firing up the skillets, directing traffic or serving guests. We appreciate those that brought a whole team from their company as wellwe hope it was a good team building event! Thanks to everyone for making the breakfast a great success. Save the date for the 23rd Annual Breakfast in the Valley on June 14, 2019.

The objective of this Lunch & Learn session will be to answer many of the common questions around how the 20 percent deduction for pass-through entity owners (199A) will work. We will review the fundamental requirements to claim the 199A deduction as well what constitutes qualified business income (QBI). Additionally, we will discuss the types of businesses that qualify for the deduction and the limitations that are imposed.
We will use various examples to demonstrate the applicability to different types of businesses, income levels, etc. Discussion topics will include unresolved issues and areas in which additional guidance is still needed.
