Positoin Opening at the Chamber
As you may have heard, Cheri Weinke is retiring from the Chamber at the end of September. With her retirement this brings the opportunity for us to shuffle some staff around. Chrystal Mills is going to be taking on most of Cheri's responsibilities. With that move that leaves us looking for an individual to fill Chrystal's role as Finance Director and new responsibilities to support Scott rogers and his efforts with Workforce and Government Affairs. So we are looking for someone who is an analytical thinker, has an understanding of finances, accounting programs - preferable Quickbooks, self-motivated, must be able to work in a team atmosphere, and must be that right fit for us here at the Chamber.
If you would like to learn more about this unique position and great opportunity to work for the Chamber as we help our community continue to grow, click here to view the full job description on the Chamber's Job Bank or Dave Minor with your resume.
Because of the uniqueness of this job, If you have questions please email Dave Minor All inquiries will be kept confidential.

SOHO Coffee Talk - How to Setup a Board of Advisors
|
Thursday, July 19,
8:15 - 9:30 a.m.
Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce
PESI Conference Room
101 N. Farwell Street
Sponsored by: Everclear Hearing Products, LLC and S.A. Wallace LLC
As small business owners, we must make decisions about managing our business without the support of a Board or a team of Executives that larger businesses enjoy. Consider creating your own support team by starting a Board of Advisors. Imagine a group of 3-6 business owners, each with their own skillsets and talents, all working together toward the common goal of helping each of their businesses grow and succeed. Group member's work together to hold each other accountable, celebrate successes, and challenge each member to be a better businessperson.
Attendees will have a chance to both learn about the concept of an Advisory Board and then talk to other SOHO business owners about potentially forming a Board. There are guidelines to know when collaboration turns into taking advantage of "free" advice. Come to this event prepared to talk to other business owners about how you can help each other.
