2018 Sales Conference

Back bigger than ever! The Chamber will present its fourth annual Sales Conference to help sales professional learn new tips, discuss different strategies and refresh ideas to help boost their sales performance. From seasoned sales professionals to those just starting their careers, this conference will empower them with better tools to make this their best sales year ever!
Conference includes the opening keynote session, four different breakout sessions and a Progressive Power Lunch! Jerry Kollross of UW-Eau Claire will kick off the conference with a keynote address on a historical perspective on how professional sales theory has changed and how it has remained the same over the years. After the keynote session, attendees will have the opportunity to attend four of the following breakout sessions:

Progressive Power Lunch
Following the breakout sessions, attendees will participate in a fast-paced networking lunch. The Progressive Power Lunch is an easy way to make contacts fast. Here's how it works: attendees will be assigned to a different table for each course of lunch (salad, entree and dessert.) At each table everyone will be asked to share business cards and give a short infomercial on their business/services. By the time lunch is over, each attendee will have gained 15+ business contacts. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards.

The Eau Claire Chamber is creating the 2018 Community Profile/Business Directory. Approximately 4,000 copies of this publication will be printed and ready for distribution in May. Excellence in Education Banquet: Sponsors & Nominations Needed

Each year, the Chamber hosts the Excellence in Education Banquet where we honor 60 area high school seniors and their honored educators from 10 high schools. This year's event will be held on May 2 at the Florian Gardens Conference Center.

Help! We are in need of sponsors to make this event possible. Sponsorships help pay for the honorees' meals and gifts. All sponsors will have the opportunity to attend the event and sponsor a student. Sponsors are recognized in the program, at the event and in the Chamber Update. Do you know an educator who deserves to be recognized? At the banquet, we will give special awards in three categories: Innovation in Teaching, Contributor to Education and Unsung Hero. Spring Primary Election
Tuesday, February 20, is the Wisconsin Spring Primary Election. For most voters, the only race which will appear on local ballots is the statewide contest for State Supreme Court. The election will narrow the field from three candidates to two for the April 3 Spring General Election.
Voters in Eau Claire County Board District 10 will also narrow the candidate field to two for the April election. Candidates include Nancy Coffey, Kris Verbracken and incumbent Mike Conlin.
Voting Hours: Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. To find where you vote, and more information about voter registration, go to My Vote Wisconsin and enter your name and address. Voter ID is required for this election. |
