Annual Human Resources Conference
Seminar Presenters Needed!

The Chamber has partnered again with the Chippewa Valley Society of Human Resources Management (CVSHRM) to present the annual Human Resources Conference. We are seeking proposals from individuals who would be willing to volunteer to present a one-hour session on an aspect of human resources. Do you have experience that you would be willing to share? We are looking for topics on a variety of subjects.
Benefits of Speaking
While this is a volunteer opportunity, speakers receive recognition in marketing material and at the conference. All speakers are invited to attend the entire conference as our guest. And best yet, you are able to promote you and your business to hundreds of Chamber members.

Green Business Tour
The Chamber's Green Business Committee will be hosting another tour of a "green business' on Friday, December 11, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Phillips Medisize in Menomonie. We will learn about their sustainability initiatives and see their recycling equipment.
We will carpool from the parking lot at Mega West on Clairemont Avenue. Park on the south end of the lot near Clairemont.
Reservations are required by December 9. Email Bob McCoy, if you plan to attend the tour.
Promote Your Business in the 2016 Community Profile/Business Directory
Every year, the Eau Claire Chamber publishes 4,000 copies of the 2016 Community Profile/Business Directory. The publication will be printed and ready for distribution in May. This annual directory is distributed to more than 1,200 Chamber members, future members, area hotels, and to potential residents in all relocation packets.
This quality full-color publication is an excellent vehicle for you to showcase your business to other businesses and residents in the area. Please view the ad specifications and the affordable rate schedule. For more information please contact Amy Muehlbauer(715-858-0617).
Chamber Event Cancellation Policy
The Chamber's policy, when you register for an event, is that unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the event (72 hours for the Chamber Annual Meeting), you will be invoiced for the cost of the event. This is due to the fact that the Chamber has to either provide the facility with a guaranteed food count or order the food in advance for an event at the Chamber office.

Join us for the annual Holiday Legislative Breakfast, hosted by UWEC Chancellor James Schmidt and Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Faye Deich. Meet the members of the State Senate and Assembly who will be representing west central Wisconsin in Madison and get a preview of their key priorities when the legislature reconvenes in 2016. This event is open to individuals whose organizations are members of the Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire or Menomonie Chamber of Commerce.

Bringing the Chippewa Valley's voice to Madison. This one-day event is jointly sponsored by the Chippewa Falls, Menomonie and Eau Claire chambers of commerce. We'll be there to bring our region's important economic, education and infrastructure issues to the attention of state government. You will participate in pre-scheduled small group meetings with legislators and their aides, an exclusive luncheon with the Governor (invited), meetings with top state officials, an informal closing reception, and more. Everything is taken care of, including charter bus transportation to and from Madison (or you can travel on your own if you prefer).
