Chippewa Valley business leaders are invited to a special announcement as internationally recognized Mayo Clinic physician-scientist and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire alumnus Timothy J. Nelson, M.D., Ph.D., is named director of Research and Innovation for Mayo Clinic Health System in northwest Wisconsin.

Dr. Nelson, an Osseo, Wisconsin, native, is a world leader in the field of regenerative medicine. He will develop a cutting-edge research program at Mayo Clinic Health System, act as a liaison between Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System to expand clinical trials to benefit patient care, and foster greater research opportunities for UW-Eau Claire students and faculty.
