If you want to make a difference in how state policies towards education, transportation and workforce development impact the Chippewa Valley, join us on our annual trip to Madison on January 25.
The Chippewa Valley Rally is a one-day event is jointly sponsored by the Chippewa Falls, Menomonie and Eau Claire Chambers of Commerce. You'll join dozens of fellow business and community leaders from our area to participate in pre-scheduled small group meetings with legislators and their aides, an exclusive luncheon with the Lt. Governor, meetings with top state officials, an informal closing reception, and more. Everything is taken care of, including charter bus transportation to and from Madison (or you can travel on your own if you prefer). Don't worry if it's your first time attending - you'll be part of a team with an experienced group leader who has participated in previous years.
As the new session of the state legislature convenes this month, it's important for our region to project a strong showing as lawmakers tackle a new state budget. Important issues on this year's docket include expressing thanks for state funding for the Confluence Project, encouraging state leadership on workforce issues, supporting state priorities for higher education and local schools, rural broadband expansion, and enacting a long-term transportation financing solution.

YPWeek Wisconsin Further Expands to Include 25 Communities,
2017 Bubbler Awards Applications Open
Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce and NEWaukee are proud to announce the expansion of YPWeek Wisconsin to include 24 communities in 2017; Ashland, Door County, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, Fox Cities, Green Bay, Hayward, Kenosha, La Crosse, Oshkosh, Madison, Manitowoc, Marinette, Marshfield, Milwaukee, Phillips, Portage, Platteville, Racine, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, Superior, Waukesha County, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids. The grassroots statewide program will run April 22 to 29, 2017 with each community presenting a variety of programs that empower young professionals to take ownership and pride in their home towns.
