New Benefits for Advertisers!

It's time for a change and we want you to be a part of it! The 2017 Community Profile and Business Directory will have:

  • New Name: Our Community
This publication is more than just a business directory. It is one of the few printed publications that highlights what the Eau Claire area is about - why it is one of the best places to live, work and play!
  • New Look
Our Community will contain more photos and infographics so readers can get a quick glimpse of the area and not spend a lot of time reading. The Business Directory will continue to list the contact information for members but we will only list the member name and phone number in the Resource Guide - thus, making it lighter in weight.
  • New Benefits
There are several new benefits for members that choose to advertise in the publicaion. Click here to read about the benefits!

New Law Lets Small Employers Set Up HRAs to Help Employees Pay for Health Insurance

A new federal law signed last month allows small employers with fewer than 50 full-time employees to fund Health Reimbursement Arrangements for employees to pay for medical expenses and for non-group health insurance premiums, even those purchased on Affordable Care Act exchanges.

The provision was part of the bipartisan 21st Century Cures Act. Previously, such arrangements were prohibited by the ACA. Many small employers will welcome the opportunity to provide help to employees on pre-tax basis so they can purchase their own insurance. Eligible small employers must be those who don't sponsor a group health plan, and there are specific limits to the arrangements. Click here for more information.

Or Contact Scott Rogers at the Chamber.
