Leadership Success Series featuring Mike Soley, Sr., Miller Bradford & Risberg

Mayo Clinic Health System
1400 Bellinger St
Cost to Attend: $25
Sponsored by: Associated Bank, Banbury Place, Mayo Clinic Health System, Royal Construction, Inc. and Ruder Ware L.L.S.C.

The Chamber’s Leadership Success Series offers a platform for executives of high profile companies to share their story of success as well as their vision and thoughts facing business today and in the future. This series is a unique opportunity to hear from leaders at the helm of some of the state’s most significant industries and companies.

Join us for our next session of our Leadership Success Series featuring Mike Soley, Sr. of Miller Bradford & Risberg. Born and raised in Eau Claire, he began his career with Uniroyal in 1965 upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In 1966, Mike launched his career in the construction equipment industry with Miller Bradford & Risberg, and in 1969 purchased the business with two partners. Mike obtained sole ownership of the company in 1989.

Both Mike and his wife Nancy had goals and aspirations that this would be a family business and would train and mentor their two sons, Mike and Dan, in all aspects of the business. Passionate about construction equipment and the customer needs, he added offices in Michigan, Illinois and five offices in Wisconsin.

In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his six grandkids and their activities. Mike also enjoys fishing, reading books, travelling and Badger football and basketball.

Cost to attend is $25 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members and includes a breakfast buffet. Breakfast will be served in the atrium outside the auditorium. The presentation will be held in the auditorium from 8-9 a.m. with a short time allotted for questions and answers. Please park on the first or second level of the hospital parking ramp. Follow signs to the hospital entrance. Once in the building, take the main elevator in the Luther Building to the lower level.

In today's political climate, it's becoming increasingly important to ensure public policy decisions are made with the full benefit of the insights, experience and common sense judgement that can be provided by members of the business community. The purpose of this institute is to offer Chamber members the education, guidance and collaborative skill development to be effective in influencing those local, state and national policy decisions that impact our local economy.

This two-session program provides non-partisan, unbiased training to equip business leaders for greater involvement in the political process. It's designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills to be more effective at influencing legislative decisions, serving on appointed boards or commissions, or running for public office.  Experienced speakers and instructors will provide practical, real-world insights to help you become more confident in your approach to involvement in public policy.

This program is open to employees of Chamber member organizations and is limited to 30 people.
